The Incredible string band - U (1970) full album
U is a double album by The Incredible String Band released in 1970 The music on the album is taken from the Incredible String Band's live mixed-media show of the same name, for which the band had just concluded performances when they recorded the album. The "U" show, which involved pantomime-like dancing along with music.

I didn't know it was based on a mixed media show until I read the Wikipedia just now. Man alive I bet that was over the top cosmic, neck a couple of sugar cubes and hit the theatre some point in 69 to catch the ISB U pantomime one can imagine that would somewhat strangle up the mind lol. Powerful!
I love this album its not quite as good as wee tam BH but there are some of their very best tunes on U, and it has a relatively high % of female vocal Liquorice may not have had what you would call technically the best folk vocal but it does not suffer as a result and has an ethereal beauty that is just lovely.Enjoy!
